Dewey L. Landrum, 57, of Dahlonega, died Aug. 25, 2012.

Born Aug. 25, 1955 in Covington, Ky. to the late Dewey and Billie Landrum, he lived a number of years in Marietta before moving to Dawson County and then to Lumpkin County 13 years ago.

Mr. Landrum earned a master's degree in business science and was employed as a software consultant with IBM.

For more than 40 years he was a member of Capital City Lodge No. 642 F&AM and was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Dahlonega Ward.

His sister, Carol Landrum, preceded him in death.

Survivors include his daughters and son-in-law, Rebecca Landrum and David Clark of Dahlonega, Kristina Landrum of Walland, Tenn.; grandchildren, Justin Light, Cynthia Sarson, Joseph Sarson, Miles Clark, Morgan Clark, Andrew Sarson; brother, George Cartier of Gainesville; aunt, Aline Tatum of Dawsonville; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Aug. 31 in the Bearden Funeral Home Chapel with the Bishop Robert Weischedel officiating. Interment will follow in the McKees Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Aug. 30 at the funeral home.
