Denver H. Harris, 64, of Dawsonville, died March 30, 2015.

Born Feb. 3, 1951 to the late Buster and Annie Laura "Ann" Harris, he lived most of his life in Dawson County.

A graduate of Dawson County High School, he earned a degree in Automotive Technology from Lanier Tech.

Denver worked as an automobile mechanic, after which he did racing engine assembly for Ernie Elliott, Inc. for 30 years.

His brother, Owen Harris, preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Gale Harris of Dawsonville; brother and sister-in-law, Morris and Judy Harris of Dawsonville; sister and brother-in-law, Elaine and Winston Jenkins of Flowery Branch; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. April 1 in the Bearden Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. John Huff officiating. Interment will follow in the Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery.

Bearden Funeral Home of Dawsonville was in charge of the arrangements.
