BREAKING: Georgia Supreme Court upholds Dawson County man’s conviction for Hannah Bender’s 2019 murder

Denise Pilcher

Denise Pilcher, 58, of Dawsonville, died Jan. 2, 2019.

 Denise was employed by State Farm Insurance Company at the corporate office in Johns Creek.

 Her parents, Joe and Eloise Smith, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her husband of 30 years, Steve Pilcher of Dawsonville; daughter, Anita Fields of Dawsonville; son, Brian Pilcher of Dawsonville; sister, Jana Albertson; five grandchildren, Kyle, Jackson, Caylee, Jaida, and Tevin; several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; many nieces and nephews; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Jan. 4 at Mt. Tabor Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Grizzle, Rev. Jack Pilcher, Rev. Rodney Pilcher, Rev. Shane Milford and Rev. Paul Bagley officiating. Interment followed in the Mt. Tabor Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family received friends from 2 to 9 p.m. Jan. 3 and from 9 a.m. until the service time Jan. 4.

Ingram Funeral Home and Crematory of Cumming was in charge of the arrangements.
