Della Groves Nuzum, 80, of Lawrenceville, died Dec. 7, 2012.

Born Jan. 21, 1932, in Richwood, W. Va., to the late Rev. S.G. and Reba Groves, she lived most of her adult life in Akron, Ohio.

While in Akron, Mrs. Nuzum was an active member of the Christ United Methodist Church.

She and her husband moved to Georgia in 1985.

Her husband, Richard G. Nuzum Sr.; and brothers, Kenneth Groves Sr. and John Groves Sr., preceded her in death.

Survivors include her children, Debbie and Brian Hurlburt of Lawrenceville, Pam and Pam Turman of Hernando, Miss., Richard "Rick" Jr. and Rhonda Nuzum of Snellville; sister, JoAnne Dack of Dawsonville; brothers and sisters-in-law, Edgel Groves, Jerry and Bea Groves, both of Dawsonville, Judy Groves of Gillsville; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were held at 6 p.m. Dec. 10 in the Bearden Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jeffrey Groves officiating.

Bearden Funeral Home of Dawsonville was in charge of the arrangements.
