Dean Brent Salzsieder

Dean Brent Salzsieder, 61, of Cumming, died at his home Oct. 16, 2008.

  

A native of North Dakota, he was the son of the late George and Ingrid Salzsieder.

  

A long-time resident of Albany, Ga., he had lived in Cumming since 1997.

  

A U.S. Navy veteran, Mr. Salzsieder spent much of his career with Bell South. He was a passionate fan of the Beatles. Other enjoyments were spending time with his family. His hobbies include collecting music and movies.

  

Survivors include his beloved wife, Martha Salzsieder of Cumming; daughters, Tami (Blaine) Singleton of Asheville, N.C., Niki (Simon) Wilkes of Dawsonville; son, Matt Salzsieder of Asheville, N.C.; sister, Carol (Larry) Nannenga of Lamoure, N.D.; grandchildren, Wyatt Singleton and Noah and Cash Salzsieder; various other relatives also survive.

  

A memorial services was held Monday, Oct. 20 at 4 p.m. in the chapel at McDonald and Son Funeral Home.

  

In lieu of flowers, the family requested that donations be made in memory of Dean Salzsieder to Hormone-Refractory Cancer Association Inc, c/o Bruce Laumeister - Treasurer, CTC Corporation, P.O. Box 260, Bennington, VT 05201.

  

Donations can also be sent to the American Hospice Foundation, 3180 Presidential Drive, Suite G, Atlanta, GA 30340.

  

McDonald and Son Funeral Home and Crematory of Cumming was in charge of the arrangements.
