Darliss "Dar" Long, 56, of Dawsonville, died Thursday, July 9, 2009.

Dar was a member of Christ Fellowship Church and was very active as an usher, prayer team and home ministries.

Her brother, Robert "Bobby" Cathcart, Jr. and parents, Robert and Clora Cathcart, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her husband, Bill Long of Dawsonville; son, Nate and Tammy Tull of Dahlonega; daughter, Meshka and Scott Bailey of Cumming; three grandchildren, Samuel and Jeremiah Bailey and Zoey Tull; various other relatives also survive.

A memorial service was held at 4 p.m. Saturday, July 11 at Christ Fellowship Church in Dawsonville with the Pastor Ricky Stepp officiating.

Byars Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Cumming was in charge of the arrangements.
