Danny S. Albertson, 63, of Dawsonville, died Saturday, June 21, 2008 at the Rockdale County Medical Center following a sudden illness.

Born in Great Falls, Mon., Mr. Albertson had lived in Dawsonville for the past four years having moved from Marietta.

Mr. Albertson along with Art Richardson and Jay Aldrich owned and operated Tripower Construction and Development. Mr. Albertson was a member of the First Baptist Church of Dawsonville where he served as a Deacon and a director of Sunday School.  He was a long time supporter and participant of the U.S. 10K Classic in Cobb County and the Relay for Life.

Survivors include his wife, Valerie Albertson of Dawsonville; daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Michael Dickinson of Loganville; son and daughter-in-law, Eric and Shelly Albertson of Dallas; grandchildren, Shelby and Brody Albertson and Noah Steven Dickinson, his second grandson is due on July 28, 2008; sister, Debbie Stovall of Chattanooga, Tenn.; brother, Larry Albertson of River Falls, Wis.; various other relatives also survive.

A Celebration of Life Service for Mr. Albertson was held on Wednesday, June 25 at 11 a.m. at the First Baptist Church of Dawsonville with Dr. Jim Gaines officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations were requested to be made to the American Heart Association, Southeast Affiliate 1685 Terrell Mill Road, Marietta, GA 30067-8320 or the American Cancer Society, 2565 Thompson Bridge Road, Suite 114, Gainesville, GA 30501.

Bearden Funeral Home of Dawsonville was in charge of the arrangements.
