Curtis Lee Bales, 60, of Dawsonville, died Feb. 6, 2011.

 

Born Oct. 24, 1950, Mr. Bales was a native of Alpharetta and had lived in Dawson County for 30 years.

 

He owned and operated Bales Trucking Inc., and was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

 

His father, Robert Lee Bales, preceded him in death.

 

Survivors include his wife of 25 years, Renee Mayer Bales of Dawsonville; children, Gretchen Chadwick and Craig Miller of Jonesboro, Michelle Bales, Selena Bales, both of Cumming, Marriah Bales, Tatum Bales, both of Dawsonville; grandchildren, Zachary Chadwick, Alexis Carvalho; mother, Willie Grace Mashburn of Dahlonega; sister and brother-in-law, Sue and Charles Cates of Dahlonega; various other relatives also survive.

 

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Feb. 9 at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel with the Pastor Joe Gaines and the Rev. Sven Mossenger officiating. Interment followed in Dawsonville Memorial Gardens.

 

Bearden Funeral Home of Dawsonville was in charge of the arrangements.
