Coy Lowman, 98, of Dawsonville, died April 6, 2012.

Born June 20, 1913, to the late John W. and Louisa Lowman, he lived most of his life in Dawson County. Mr. Lowman retired from Motor Convoy after 30 years of service.

He was a deacon of Juno Baptist Church.

His sister, Eula Sharp, and a brother, Austin Lowman, preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife of 73 years, Lucille Lowman of Dawsonville; sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Wanda Lowman of Canton, Lee and Gail Lowman of Dawsonville; brother and sister-in-law, Jay and Selma Lowman of Dawsonville; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. April 9 at Juno Baptist Church with the Revs. Tommy Weldy, Tim Biddy and Dennis Bottoms officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Juno Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 1230 Juno Road, Dawsonville, GA 30534.

Bearden Funeral Home of Dawsonville was in charge of the arrangements.
