Clinton Walter Turner Sr., 89, of Dahlonega, died Dec. 27, 2014.
Born Dec. 23, 1925 in Cornelia, to the late Joseph McDuff I and Myrtie Vera Turner, he had been a resident of Lumpkin County for the past 25 years, having moved from Cobb County.
Mr. Turner was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran, who served as a corporal in World War II and completed aircraft maintenance.
He also worked as a machinist for the Lockheed Aircraft Corporation, where he retired after 37 years of service.
His wife, Dorothy Hamilton Tuner; brother, Joseph McDuff Turner II; and a daughter, Rosemary Inlow, preceded him in death.
Survivors include his daughter, Patricia Ann Turner of Dahlonega; son and daughter-in-law, Clinton W. Jr. and Cindy Turner of Kennesaw; son-in-law, Steve Inlow of Watkinsville; brother, K.K. Turner of Dawsonville; grandchildren, Beth and Bill Harper, Amy and Chris Dunn, Suzy and Frank Madonna, Sofi Turner, Tucker Turner; great-granddaughter, Berkley Harper; various other relatives also survive.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Dec. 30 in the Bearden Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. J.R. Fields officiating. Interment followed in the Dawsonville City Cemetery.
Bearden Funeral Home of Dawsonville was in charge of the arrangements.
