Clifford A. Garner, 79, of Cumming, died Tuesday, March 3, 2009 in Taylorsville, N.C.

Survivors include his wife, Claudia Garner of Cumming; sons, Tommy Garner of Murphy, N.C., Tracy Garner, Gene Garner, both of Cumming, David Garner, Jerry Garner, both of Dawsonville; daughters, Betty Bailey of Dawsonville, Judy Shirley of Cumming, Geneva Shirley of Suwanee; 12 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were 11 a.m. Friday, March 6 at Lower Shady Grove Church with interment in the church cemetery.

Byars Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Cumming was in charge of the arrangements.
