Cliff Shaw, 72, of Dawsonville, died Sunday, Dec. 28, 2008.
Born in Forsyth County, he grew up in Dawson County.
He lived a number of years in Sugar Hill before returning to Dawson County 29 years ago.
Mr. Shaw owned and operated Cliff Shaw Transmissions for 52 years and was a member of Sweetwater Baptist Church.
His wife, June Shaw; parents, Clifford L. and Edna Shaw; grandparents, Enyrd Byrd and Esther Perkins, preceded him in death.
Survivors include his children, Cliff Shaw, III, Alicia Davenport, both of Dawsonville, Robert L. and Janie Shaw of Tucker, Gerald L. Shaw of Doraville, Ann and Pat Allen of Cumming; Russell Davis of Gainesville, Tammy Davis Shope of Cleveland; sister and brother-in-law, Madeline and Joaquin Guerrero of McDonald; brother, Nathan Perkins of Luthersville; 20 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; various other relatives also survive.
Funeral services were Tuesday, Dec. 30 at 2 p.m. at Sweetwater Baptist Church with the Revs. Mark Flowers, William Blackwell and Harold Evans officiating.
Interment followed in the church cemetery.
Bearden Funeral Home of Dawsonville was in charge of the arrangements.
