Cleo Cindy Rider, 76, of Dahlonega, died Thursday, April 30, 2009.

Mrs. Rider was a native and lifelong resident of Lumpkin County. She was a homemaker.

She was the daughter of the late Jerry Lingerfelt and Nebraska Rider Lingerfelt and was also preceded in death by her sons, Jerry and Timmy Rider; and a brother, Bill Lingerfelt.

Survivors include her husband, Boyd R. Rider of Dahlonega; daughters and sons-in-law, Judy and Tony Shubert of Dawsonville, Terri and Chris Day of London, Ky.; daughter, Jennifer Atkins; sons and daughters-in-law, Phillip and Kathy Rider, Richard and Joann Rider, all of Dahlonega; son, Stevie Rider; sisters, Susie Lingerfelt of Dawsonville, Thelma Stamey of Tucker, Clore Miller of Flowery Branch; brothers, Jewell Lingerfelt of Dahlonega, Roy Lee Lingerfelt of Dawsonville; 30 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were 2 p.m. Sunday, May 3 at the Banister Funeral Home Chapel in Dahlonega with the Rev. Lyman Caldwell officiating.

Interment followed in Pleasant Grove Methodist Church Cemetery in Lumpkin County.
