C.I. Robinson, Jr., 96, of Dawsonville, died Saturday, Aug. 1, 2009.

  

Born July 31, 1913, in Dawson County to the late Charles I., Sr. and Lizzie Taylor Robinson, Mr. Robinson was a lifelong resident of Dawson County and was a retired painter.

  

He was also a former bus driver for the Dawson County School System.

  

His wife of 70 years, Clara Parks Robinson; four sisters; and, two brothers, preceded him in death.

  

Survivors include his children, Gary and Myra Robinson of Devon, Pa., Marsha Lynn Robinson, Sharon and Danny Fausett, all of Dawsonville; brother and sister-in-law, Herbert and Blanche Robinson of Oakwood; grandchildren, Leslie and Eddie Escamilla, Tracie Bolton, Brett Fausett; great-grandchildren, Drew Escamilla, Maya Escamilla, Tyler Bolton; various other relatives also survive.

  

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Monday, Aug. 3 at the First Baptist Church of Dawsonville with the Dr. Jim Gaines officiating.

  

Interment followed in the Dawsonville Memorial Gardens.

  

In lieu of flowers, donations were requested made to the First Baptist Church of Dawsonville Building Fund, P.O. Box 1358, Dawsonville, GA 30534 or your favorite charity.

  

Bearden Funeral Home of Dawsonville was in charge of the arrangements.
