Chuck Carter, 45, died June 17, 2015.

Chuck was born in Cape Canaveral, Florida, and grew up in Lawrenceville.

In 1995, he moved to Dawsonville, on the north end of Lake Lanier.

He enjoyed the lake so much that he wanted it to be part of his daily routine. He started his own business in 1997 as Chestatee Dock & Marine boat dock service and construction.

Survivors include his daughters, Cameron Nicole Carter and Courtney Lynn Carter; former wife, Tammy Lynn Carter; mother, Gail Miller; stepfather, Larry Miller; father, Charles David Carter; stepmother, Nancy Carter; brother, Edward Tate Carter; nieces, Adrianna Carter, Dawson Carter and Autumn Carter; nephews, Taylor Carter and Lex Carter.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. June 27 at Maranatha Baptist Church, 5135 Maranatha Baptist Church in Oakwood.
