Cheyenne Gabrielle Heard, 17, of Canton, died Sept. 13, 2013.

Cheyenne was a senior at Creekview High School. Her senior project was called "Tying Up Cancer to Benefit Rodeo Kids with Cancer."

Not only was this a senior project, but this spilled over into Cheyenne's personal life. She was a cowgirl who rode horses all her life and loved barrel racing. Cheyenne had a tremendous heart and touched everyone she came in contact with.

Cheyenne worked with special needs children, was part of the student body government, and was a member of the Georgia High School Rodeo Team.

She was also involved in the Hightower Baptist Church Vacation Bible Study group.

Her grandfather, Harold Heard, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her parents, Jason and Debra Heard and Nichelle and Tim Stewart; brothers, Justin and Jeb Stewart; sister, Shelby Pritchett; grandparents, Rick and Beth Farr, Jerry and Geraldine Stewart, Gary Spence and Brenda Heard; niece, Madison Stewart; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sept. 15 in the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Gerral Richards and Rudy Tribble officiating. Interment will follow at Hightower Baptist Church Cemetery.

Ingram Funeral Home and Crematory of Cumming was in charge of the arrangements.
