Charles William Brock, 47, of Dawsonville, died, Oct. 4, 2014.

A loving husband and father, at the time of his death he was surrounded by family and friends.

Born on May 4, 1967, in Fort Smith, Ark., Charles grew up in Arkansas until moving to Georgia in 1983.

An avid football fan, Charles enjoyed cheering on his Razorbacks even after moving across the country.

Survivors include his wife and daughter, Angela and Kristina Brock of Dawsonville; father, Wayne Brock of Dawsonville; mother and stepfather, Cherie and Joseph Lewis of Terre Haute, Ind.; sister and brother-in-law, Genie and Dave Hemmrich of Terre Haute, Ind.; mother-in-law, Catherine Owens of Ball Ground; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Ryan and Ashley Owens of Canton; various other relatives also survive.

Memorial services were held at 1 p.m. Oct. 11. A reception followed.

In lieu of flowers, donations were requested made in Charles' honor to "Can't Never Could, Inc." at www.cantnevercouldinc.com, a foundations that is dedicated to helping those battling brain tumors.

McDonald and Son Funeral Home of Cumming was in charge of the arrangements.
