Charles James Siburt

Charles James Siburt, 87, of Dawsonville, and formerly of Wellsburg, W. Va., died June 10, 2017.

Born Jan. 30, 1930 in McMechen, W. Va. to the late Thomas and Mary Carter Siburt, Charles had lived in Dawsonville for the past nine years.

Charles retired as a supervisor for Weirton Steel and was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was a member of Wellsburg Masonic Lodge #2 AF&AM and was of the Methodist faith.

Two sisters and two brothers preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Dawn McBee Siburt of Dawsonville; children J. Keith and Martha Siburt of Maryland, Juanita and Danny Scarborough of Dawsonville, Deborah and David Smith of Wellsburg, W.Va.; granddaughters Brittany and Daniel Porter, Lea and Cody Chambers, Jacki Scarborough; four great grandchildren also survive.

A memorial service will be held at the Franklin United Methodist Church in Wellsburg, W.Va. at a later date.

Bearden Funeral Home of Dawsonville was in charge of the arrangements.
