Cecil Padgett, 86, of Dawsonville, died Feb. 22, 2017.
Born May 11, 1930, to the late Roy and Besey Padgett, he was a lifelong resident of Dawson County.
Cecil was formerly employed by Lockheed and worked for Big Canoe until his retirement.
He also did electrical, heat, air and refrigeration service.
His stepson, Johnathen "John" Satterfield; sister, Evelyn McIntyre; and a brother, Roy Lee Padgett, also preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife, Felecia Padgett of Dawsonville; daughters and son-in-law, Maresa Helton, Marthenia and Larry Buchanan, all of Dawsonville; son, Darion Padgett of Dawsonville; stepdaughter, Angel Satterfield of Dahlonega; stepson, Lucas Satterfield of Athens; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchidlren; various other relatives also survive.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Feb. 25 in the Bearden Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Max Padgett officiating. Interment followed in the Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery.
Bearden Funeral Home of Dawsonville was in charge of the arrangements.
