Cecil Evans, 91, of Dawsonville died Oct. 26, 2017. Born March 12, 1926 in Dawson County to the late Waldo and Lena Cantrell, she lived a number of years in Gilmer County before returning to Dawson County in 1960. A homemaker at her death, she enjoyed travel, especially to the mountains, country and gospel music. Cecil was a very devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and member of New Hope Baptist Church.
