Carolyn McBrayer, 69, of Cumming, died Feb. 24, 2015.

She attended Trinity Worship Center.

She was the daughter of the late Rev. R.F. and Opal Wilson and was also preceded in death by her sisters and brother-in-law, Betty Jean Phillips and Judy and Ralph Smith.

She had been a pianist for more than 55 years for many Church of God churches in Georgia.

Carolyn was a retired kindergarten teacher for the Forsyth County School System.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and soon to be great-grandmother.

Survivors include her husband of 52 years, Guy McBrayer of Cumming; daughters and sons-in-law, Marsha and Ryan Smith of Ball Ground, Debra and Chris Moore and her :baby girl" Alicia and Denver Mims, all of Cumming; grandchildren, Tyler and Amber Smith and baby, Chasady and Josh Shadburn, Logan Smith; sisters, Shirley Whitley of Tennessee; brothers and sisters-in-law, L.D. and Colleen Wilson of North Carolina, Wayne and Linda Wilson of Florida; sisters and brother-in-law, Betty Jean Phillips and Judy and Ralph Smith; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Jerry and Rose McBrayer of Dawsonville, Peggy and Eddie Gee of Cumming; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Feb. 28 in the chapel of Ingram Funeral Home with the Revs. Ken Griffis, Rodney Allen and Danny Bennett officiating. Interment followed in Sawnee View Memorial Gardens.

Ingram Funeral Home and Crematory of Cumming was in charge of the arrangements.
