Carolyn Jarrard, 77, of Dawsonville, died March 3, 2015.

Born July 23, 1937 in Portland, Ore. To the late Ben Burgin and Helen Hooper, she had lived in Dawson County since 1980, having moved from Cobb County.

Mrs. Jarrard was formerly employed as an accounting clerk at Aaron Rents, formerly worked in the office of the Clerk of the Superior Court in Dawson County and was also employed by Big Canoe.

Survivors include her husband of 38 years, Ken Jarrard of Dawsonville; children, Ronald Dudley of Cobb County, Joseph Dudley of Alabama, Becky Whitfield of Austell, Kenneth Jarrard of Jasper, Keith Jarrard of Dawsonville; sister, Jarilyn of Oregon; brother, Terrence of California; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. March 5 in the Bearden Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Roland Nelson officiating. Interment followed in the Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery in Lumpkin County.

Bearden Funeral Home of Dawsonville was in charge of the arrangements.
