Carolyn Ann “Granny” Chambers, 68, of Dawsonville died June 7, 2012.

Born November 19, 1943, in Hall County to the late Fulton and Cordie Passmore, she lived in Dawson County for the past 49 years. 

Mrs. Chambers was a homemaker who was devoted to her family.  The pleasures in her life were caring for children, camping, and crafts, especially needlework. 

She was a member of Mercy Baptist Church and was also preceded in death by her sisters, Lula Mae Chambers, Wanda Passmore;  brothers, Harley “Buck” Walden, and Frank Walden.

Survivors include her husband of 52 years, Curtis Chambers, of Dawsonville; children, Wesley and Rosalind Chambers of Dawsonville, Jeff and Shelley Chambers of Dawsonville, Sheila and Charles Grizzle of Cumming, Greg Chambers of Dawsonville, Kenneth Chambers of Dawsonville; sister Freida Chambers of Flowery Branch; brother, Robert Passmore of Gainesville; sisters-in-law, Peggy Ann Walden and Annie Walden, both of Gainesville, nine grandchildren, two great grandchildren: various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. June 10 at Mercy Baptist Church with the Rev. Tommy Ross officiating.  Interment followed in the church cemetery.

Bearden Funeral Home of Dawsonville was in charge of the arrangements.
