Carol Crumbley, 55, of Dawsonville, died May 30, 2015.

Born Oct. 17, 1959, in Cumming, she lived most of her life in Dawson and Lumpkin counties.

Mrs. Crumbley was a member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church and was formerly employed by RefrigiWear and J&J Foods.

Her mother, Mattleen Holbrooks Smith, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her husband of 24 years, William R. "Billy" Crumbley of Dawsonville; daughters and son-in-law, Jessica Sisson of Dawsonville, Kayla and Eddie Woodward of Dahlonega; two grandchildren, Destiny and John Beasley, Ryan Woodward; great-granddaughter, Corah Beasley; father, Ted Monkus of Dawsonville; sisters and brothers-in-law, Barbara and Jerry Dotson, Deborah and Alan Foster, all of Ellijay, Fredia and Ronnie Casper of Dawsonville; brothers and sister-in-law, Billy and Joyce Monkus, Roy Monkus, all of Dawsonville, Michael Monkus of Ellijay; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. June 1 in the Bearden Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Rodney Pilcher and Jason Hamby officiating. Interment followed in the Mt. Vernon Baptist Church Cemetery.

Bearden Funeral Home of Dawsonville was in charge of the arrangements.
