Burnett “Barry” Watkins, 83, of Dawsonville, died July 30, 2018. Born June 29, 1935 to the late BJ and Lucille Watkins, Mr. Watkins had been a resident of Dawson County for 20 years. He worked at Lockheed for over 40 years until his retirement. He enjoyed square dancing and attended Lighthouse Baptist Church in Dawsonville. Survivors include his wife, Dot Williams of Dawsonville; children, Joy and Dennis Johnson of Dublin, Burnett Watkins Jr. of California, Melanie and Charles McCollum of McDonough; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; various other relatives also survive.
