Bryan Thurmond, 87 of Greentown, Ind., died April 28, 2017.
He was born May 28, 1929 in Atlanta, to the late William Bryan Thurmond Sr. and Ada Bell Anderson Thurmond.
In addition to his parents, his sister, Lila, also preceded him in death.
He graduated from Greentown High School in 1948. He retired from Delco Electronics in 1994 after 45 years of service.
Bryan loved and owned horses all his life, and collected Cockshutt tractors.
Survivors include his son, Bryan Helm of Kokomo; sister, Katie Lee Park and her husband, Walter, of Vera Beach, Fla.; brother, Harold Thurmond and wife, Hazel, of Kokomo; grandson, Joshua Helm of Hawaii; granddaughter, Taylor Helm of Alabama; very special friend, Esther Cheek of Kokomo; various other relatives also survive.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. May 2 at Hasler-Stout Funeral Home in Greentown, with the Pastor Steve Cole officiating. Burial followed in Albright Cemetery.
Shirley and Stout Funeral Homes of Kokomo, Ind. was in charge of the arrangements.
