Brian Rider, 34, of San Antonio, Texas died March 19, 2018.
Brian was born on Dec. 7, 1983 in Landstuhl, Germany. He is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and attended the Bulverde Ward in San Antonio. He graduated from Randolph High School in 2002 and attended STVT technical school in San Antonio where he studied welding. He spent some time in Puerto Rico working for FEMA helping with relief efforts for Hurricane Harvey. He was currently working as a security guard.
Brian enjoyed working on his car and spending time with his dog Snoopy. He really enjoyed serving and helping others and also spent time working on the church farm and in the Bishop’s Storehouse.
His sisters, Brandy Rider, Sarah Rider; and grandparents, Werner Ihde, Horace Rider and Lorene Barnes, preceded him in death.
Survivors include his father and stepmother, Ricky and Norma Rider of San Antonio; mother and step-father, Margrit and Michael Dupe of Ft. Walton Beach, Fla.; daughter, Brandy Rider; siblings, Mallory Rider and Dylan Rider, both of San Antonio; grandmother, Inga Ihde of St. Simons Island; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. March 28 at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel with Bishop Michael Wall officiating. Interment will follow in Dahlonega Memorial Park Cemetery.
The family received friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. March 27 at the funeral home.
Bearden Funeral Home of Dawsonville was in charge of the arrangements.
