Bobby Stepp, 50, of Dahlonega, died Oct. 17, 2016.

Born March 25, 1966 in Rome, Bobby moved to Dawson County in 1973 and had been living in Lumpkin County for the past five years.

He was employed as a driver for Country Charm. For a number of years, he served as an associate pastor and youth pastor.

Bobby was a devoted husband, father, son and brother, who enjoyed life and serving others. He was a member of Chestatee Worship Center.

His father, General Stepp, preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife of 22 years, Kristy Summerour Stepp of Dahlonega; children, Caleb Stepp and his fiancé, Ashley Jarrard, Kaleigh Stepp and her fiancé, Dalton Greene, Alyssa Stepp, all of Dahlonega; mother, Shirley Stepp of Dawsonville; grandmother, Ethel Lambert of Cherokee, N.C.; sister and brother-in-law, Rhonda and Keith Davis of Dawsonville; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jimmy and Theresa Stepp of Cumming, Ricky and Regina Stepp of Dawsonville; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Russell and Cheryl Summerour of Hartwell; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Todd and Kate Summerour of Hartwell; special friend and brother, Tim Summersett of Dahlonega; various other relatives also survive.

A celebration of Bobby's life was held at 2 p.m. Oct. 20 at Chestatee Worship Center with the Pastor Ricky Stepp officiating. Interment followed in Dawsonville Memorial Gardens.

Bearden Funeral Home of Dawsonville was in charge of the arrangements.
