Bobby Joe Wofford, 80, of Cumming, died July 20, 2014.

He was a member and deacon of Concord Baptist Church.

He had served as a Gideon since November 1973 and was instrumental in starting the Forsyth County camp.

His first wife, Bettye Holbrook Wofford, preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife of 27 years, Elizabeth Page Harris Wofford of Cumming; sons and daughters-in-law, Joey and Cindy Wofford, Ben and Stacie Wofford, all of Cumming; stepson and daughter-in-law, Tony Wayne and Karen Harris of Cumming; sister and brothers-in-law, Shirley Ann and Garland Roberts of Buford, Delores and Larry Evans of Cumming; four brothers-in-law; two sisters-in-law; grandchildren, Benson, Savannah, Russell, Sommer, Sarah; step-grandchildren, Jason Harris, Christopher and Emilie Harris; step-great-granddaughter, Bethany; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. July 23 at Concord Baptist Church with the Revs. Rubin Smith, Robert Martin and the Drs. Jimmy Orr and Scott Gilbert officiating. Interment will follow in the Coal Mountain Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 9 a.m. until the hour of service July 23 at the funeral home.
