Bobby E. “Bob” Dills, 83, of Dawsonville, died Aug. 3, 2018.
Born Feb. 15, 1935 to the late Mack and Essie Dills, he had lived in Dawson County since 2002 having moved from Winder.
Mr. Dills worked in commercial construction for over 45 years. He was a U. S. Navy veteran of the Korean Conflict and enjoyed fishing, woodworking and spending time with his family. He was a member of the Duluth Church of God.
His brothers, Frank Dills, Barney Dills; sister, Louise Sprinler; and a sister-in-law, Norine Dills, preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Judy Dills of Dawsonville; daughters and son-in-law, Sabrina and Stanley Samuel of Norcross; Heather Dills of Royston; stepchildren, David and Janice Picklesimer of Cumming, Brenda and Tim Phillips of Maryland; grandchildren, Tyler McFarland, Trey McFarland, Jessi Samuel, John Samuel, Taylor Picklesimer, Madison Picklesimer, Jessica Garrett and Abigail Phillips; great- granddaughter, Karsyn Garrett; brothers and sisters-in-law, Mary Dills of Lancaster, Penn.; Jerry and Inez Dills of Winder; Douglas Dills of Monroe, David and Louetta Dills of Franklin, N.C.; Joe and Sue Dills of Roanoke Rapids, N.C.; various other relatives also survive.
Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Aug. 5 in the Bearden Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. L. C. Bennett and Rev. Todd Skinner officiating. Interment followed in the Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery.
The family received friends from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Aug. 4 at the funeral home.
Bearden Funeral Home of Dawsonville was in charge of the arrangements.
