Bobby Burt, 64, of Dawsonville, died Sept. 27, 2010.

Born Oct. 17, 1945 in Dawson County, he had lived in Lumpkin County for more than 40 years.

Mr. Burt was a self-employed metal fabricator and was formerly a professional wrestler and promoter.

His father, Rob Burt; brother, Hayne Burt; and sister, Lillie Belle Burt, preceded him in death.

Survivors include his mother, Sallie Burt of Dawsonville; sisters, Floy Sheffield of Winder, Ruby Crane of Duluth; brothers, Jim Burt, Mike Burt, both of Dawsonville; special nieces, Jeannie Burt of Dawsonville, Pat Armstrong of Cumming; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Oct. 1 at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Rual Martin officiating. Interment followed in the Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery.

Bearden Funeral Home of Dawsonville was in charge of the arrangements.
