Billy Godfrey, 62, of Cumming, died, July 13, 2013.

He was a beloved husband, father, son and friend.

His father, Raymond Godfrey, preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife, Stacy Godfrey of Cumming; his mother, Christine Wert of Clermont; children, Scott and Ashley Godfrey of Anniston, Ala., Ray Godfrey, Chris Thompson, both of Ball Ground, Billy Cole Godfrey, James Fain, both of Cumming, Clint Thompson of White, Michelle Parker of Amarillo, Texas, Donna Stutts of Hogansville; brother, Shawn Garin of Clermont; aunt, Bonnie Holloway of Dawsonville; uncle, Leonard Shoemake of Dawsonville; 17 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. July 16, in the chapel of Ingram Funeral Home with the Revs. Billy Richardson and Tony Estes officiating. Interment followed at Sawnee View Memorial Gardens.

Ingram Funeral Home and Crematory of Cumming was in charge of the arrangements.
