Beverly A. Cummings Barr, 78, of Dawsonville, died Nov. 10, 2010.

Born Jan. 9, 1932 in Plainwell, Mich., to the late Edward and Sally Ament, she had lived in Dawson County for 10 years having moved from Lexington, Ky.

Mrs. Barr was a homemaker and was of the Catholic faith.

Her husband, Robert M. "Bob" Barr; stepdaughter, Janece Lee Vortman; brother, Willis E. Ament; and a granddaughter, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her children, David P. Cumming of Deerfield Beach, Fla., Philip J. Cummings of Dawsonville, Mark E. Cummings of Bronxville, N.Y., Robert Earl Barr of Houston, Texas, Patricia Ann Barr of Glenmore, Pa.; sister, Betty A. Brown of Blairsville; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; various other relatives also survive.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Nov. 26 at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel with Fr. Frank Richardson officiating.
