Beulah Grace Newman, 95, died Sept. 1, 2013.

Bonnie, as she was known, was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and a devoted sister to her nine siblings.

She loved RV traveling, reading, gardening and had a small antique business until two years ago.

Bonnie was born to the late Abram Joseph and Cora Frances Burkett in Wakefield, Va., on Nov. 25, 1917.

She met and married her husband, Robert, in Washington, D.C. in 1939.

After his military service during World War II, they moved to Pottstown, Penn., where they raised their two daughters.

In 1980, Mr. and Mrs. Newman retired to Commerce, and then later moved to Dawsonville.

After her husband died in 1998, Mrs. Newman moved to New Jersey, where she lived until recently.

Survivors include her two daughters, Linda and Ken Herb of Louisville, Ky., Kathy and Rich Rohacek of Cumming; grandchildren, Jason and Kelly Rohacek of Hollywood, Md., Matt and Erin Herb of Nashville, Tenn., Adam Herb of Louisville, Ky., Krysta and Mike Staudenmaier of Albrightsville, Pa.; three great-grandchildren, Katie, Hunter and Roark; various other relatives also survive.

Mrs. Newman will be interred beside her husband, a decorated veteran of World War II and Korea, at Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, Va.

In lieu of flowers, donations were requested made in honor of Bonnie Newman to Embracing Hospice Care of Cumming, 8013 Major Road, Cumming, GA 30041.

Ingram Funeral Home and Crematory of Cumming was in charge of the arrangements.
