Betty Jane Davis, 83, of Dawsonville, died Nov. 7, 2010.
Born Feb. 17, 1927 in Big Cove Tannery, Pa. to the late John and Lelia Culler, she had lived in Dawson County since 1996.
Mrs. Davis retired from Rich's Baker Shop in Atlanta and enjoyed square dancing and round dancing with the "Merry Mixers" club.
A loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she was a member of McKee's Chapel United Methodist Church and was preceded in death by a brother, Merill Culler; and a sister, Marjorie Glenn.
Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Carl E. Davis of Dawsonville; son, Douglas S. Davis of Dawsonville; granddaughters, Alicia Davis Pettyjohn of Dawsonville, Krista Davis Mitic of Hinesville, Danielle Davis Rodriguez of Demorest; sisters, Jean Weller, Dolores Souders, Martha Gordon, Patricia Horton, all of McConnellsburg, Pa., Soundra Shaffer of Harrisburg, Pa.; brothers, H.J. Culler, Donald Culler, Gerald Culler, all of McConnellsburg; four great-grandchildren; various other relatives also survive.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Nov. 11 at the Bearden Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Sven Mossinger officiating. Interment will follow in the McKee's Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Nov. 10 at the funeral home.
