Betty Ann Covington, 70, of Alpharetta, died March 18, 2019.

Betty was born in 1949 to the late Duvwrd and Maudie Sanders.

She was a member of New Life Baptist Church in Dawsonville.

Betty worked for Fulton County School Systems.

She enjoyed shopping, spending time with her dog, Zoey, and being around the people she loved. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.

Her parents and her brothers, Runt and Eddie Lee Sanders, preceded her in death.

Survivors inlcude her loving husband, Garry Covington; children and spouse, the Rev. Felix (Penny) Covington and Kimberly (Samantha) Covington; sister, Jennie Lou Sanders; and grandchildren, Brent (Beth) Covington, Chandler Covington and Patrick Sizemore; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. Covington were held at 11 a.m. March 22 in the chapel of Ingram Funeral Home in Cumming with the Revs. Larry Nichols, Robbie Prince, Felix Covington and Gene Bruce officiating.

Graveside services were held at 2:30 p.m. March 22 at Green Lawn Cemetery in Roswell. The family received friends from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. March 20 and from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. March 21 and from 9 a.m. until the hour of service March 22 at the funeral home.

Ingram Funeral Home and Crematory of Cumming was in charge of the arrangements.
