Betty Ann Booker Stancil, 68, of Royston, formerly of Dawsonville, died May 21, 2011.

Born Jan. 23, 1943 in Roswell to the late Robert and Emma Booker, she had lived in Royston since 2006.

A homemaker at her death, she was formerly employed at Sweet Orr.

Her husband, James Wilburn Freeland; son, James W. "Jamie" Freeland Jr.; and brother, Jack Booker, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her children, David Ronald Freeland of Royston, Robert Keith Freeland of Dawsonville, Kathy Freeland of Dahlonega; sister and brother-in-law, Sara Jane and Guinn Barber of Roswell; brothers and sisters-in-law, Charles and Elaine Booker of Roswell, Jimmy and Bettye Booker of Roswell; nine grandchildren and a great-granddaughter; various other relatives also survive.

Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. June 4 at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Milton Boy Chester officiating.

The family will receive friends at noon, June 4.

At her request, please omit flowers. Donations may be made toward final expenses.
