Beatrice Lowman, 83, of Dawsonville, died April 30, 2013.

Born March 28, 1930, in Gainesville to the late Tom and Tinnie Carter, she lived most of her life in Dawson County.

A homemaker at her death, she was formerly employed at K-Bar, Sweet-Orr and worked several years as a sitter with the elderly.

Beatrice was a member of Goshen Baptist Church.

Her grandson, Timothy Joe Lowman; three sisters and four brothers, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her children, Patricia Lowman of Clermont, Roy and Linda Lowman of Gainesville, Billy Joe "Joey" and Sandy Lowman, Jimmy Lowman, all of Dawsonville, Ronnie Lowman of Marble Hill; nine grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. May 3 in the Bearden Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ruel Martin officiating. Interment followed in the Goshen Baptist Church Cemetery.

Bearden Funeral Home of Dawsonville was in charge of the arrangements.
