Beatrice Harben Vaughters, 83, of Dawsonville, died Friday, March 20, 2009.

  

A lifelong resident of Dawson County, Mrs. Vaughters was a homemaker and formerly owned and operated Bethel Florist.

  

She was a member of Juno Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her husband, George Vaughters; parents, Grady and Ida Harben; brothers, Herbert Harben, Roy Harben, Havard Harben and Warren Harben.

  

Survivors include her children, Donald and Becky Vaughters of Mineral Bluff, Becky and Wayne McCord of Dawsonville, Randall and Ann Vaughters of Villa Rica, Cindy and Mike Ensley of Blue Ridge; daughter-in-law, Jeanette Vaughters of Dawsonville; sister and brother-in-law, Aline and Lawton Burt of Dawsonville; brothers and sisters-in-law, Clifton and Ruby Harben, Gary and Gail Harben, Maude Harben, Irene Harben, Arlene Swafford, all of Dawsonville, Iva Bannister of Ball Ground; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Lloyd “Flem” and Louise Vaughters of Dawsonville; grandchildren, Donna and Stevie Sheriff, Russell Vaughters, David and Franchesca McCord, Christi and Scott Thompson, Maranda Ensley, Anna Ensley, Jennifer and Curtis Stover, Haley Vaughters, Tiffany Townsend, Jamie and Amanda Townsend; nine great-grandchildren; special friends, Kim Hamby, Deborah Padgett, Sherrie Blake and Elaine Jernigan; various other relatives also survive.

  

Funeral services were 2 p.m. Sunday, March 22, 2009 at Juno Baptist Church with the Revs. Dennis Bottoms, Tim Biddy, Tom Jordan and Sammy Harben officiating.

  

Interment followed in the church cemetery.

  

In lieu of flowers, donations were requested be made to the Juno Baptist Church Building Fund, 3185 Elliott Family Parkway, Dawsonville, GA 30534.

  

Bearden Funeral Home of Dawsonville was in charge of the arrangements.
