Barry Samples, 57, died June 23, 2011.

Barry retired from Sawnee Electric after 28 years of service to the company.

Survivors include his loving wife of 31 years, Cindy Hamby Samples of Cumming; mother, Virginia Heard Holbrook of Cumming; daughter and son-in-law, Kelley and John Mullinax of Cumming; son and fiancé, Matthew Samples and Margaret Elrod of Dawsonville; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Eugene and Marcelle Hamby of Cumming; grandchildren, Hunter and Landon Mullinax of Cumming, Bradley Elrod of Dawsonville, Little Matt Robertson of Dawsonville; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. June 25 in the chapel of Ingram Funeral Home with the Revs. Garry English and Danny Bennett officiating. Interment followed in Sawnee View Memorial Gardens.

Ingram Funeral Home and Crematory of Cumming was in charge of the arrangements.
