Barbara Sue Bishop, 70, of Dawsonville, died Dec. 19, 2014.

Barbara was born in Dahlonega, Oct. 13, 1944 and lived most of her life in Dawson County.

She was the daughter of the late Terrell "Duck" Thurmond and Aileen Odom Thurmond.

Her son, Brian Bishop, also preceded her in death.

Survivors include her children, John "Bo" Bishop, Brandie Broad and Amanda Bishop; grandchildren, Tristan, Cameron and O'Ryan Broad; sister, Carolyn Cantrell; various other relatives also survive.

A Celebration of Life service was held at 2 p.m. Dec. 28 in the Banister Funeral Home Chapel in Dahlonega.

Banister Funeral Home of Dahlonega was in charge of the arrangements.
