Barbara Ann Waters Gee, 62, of Lawrenceville, died Jan. 6, 2015.

Born April 17, 1952 in Gilmer County to the late Mynor and Lula Waters, she lived most of her life in Dawson County and had lived in Lawrenceville for the past seven years.

For several years she worked as a cook at Mama Ruth's restaurant in Cleveland, was an avid collector of anything to do with frogs, enjoyed reading, was a big fan of Elvis, was proud of her hometown and was a fan of Bill Elliott.

Her brothers, Maynard Waters Sr., L.J. Waters, Lawton Waters and Delton Waters, also preceded her in death.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Rachel Michelle and John Michael Nagel of Lawrenceville; son, Wayne Gee of Gainesville; sister and brother-in-law, Doris and Bill Blackwell of Thomasville, N.C.; brothers and sisters-in-law, Weldon Waters of Gainesville, Floyd and Joyce Waters of Cleveland, Clinton and Marie Waters of Dahlonega, Larry and Donna Waters of Cumming; grandchildren, David, Nick, Matt, Daniel, Josh, Storm, Johnny and Dallas; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Jan. 9 in the Bearden Funeral Home Chapel with the Pastor Duke Forster officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations were requested to help with final expenses.

Bearden Funeral Home of Dawsonville was in charge of the arrangements.
