Barbara A. Knight, 68, of Dawsonville, died Nov. 22, 2011.

Born July 23, 1943, in Yonkers, N.Y. to the late Michael and Elizabeth Marshall, Mrs. Knight had lived in Dawson County for the past six years, having moved from Wilmington Island.

A homemaker at her death, she was a former executive secretary and attended Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church.

Her son, Kenneth Knight, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her husband of 47 years, Ronald Knight of Dawsonville; children, Don and Shannon Knight of Abbeville, Ala., Michelle and Tony White of Cumming; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sisters, Debbie Conley of New Jersey, Wendy Marshall of New Hampshire; various other relatives also survive.

Memorial services were held at 11 a.m. Nov. 26 at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Brian Higgins officiating.

Bearden Funeral Home of Dawsonville was in charge of the arrangements.
