Anthony S. “Tony” Taylor, 64, of Dawsonville, died Jan. 29, 2018.
Born July 17, 1953 in Weilheim, Germany, he lived most of his life in Atlanta before moving to Dawson County several years ago. Mr. Taylor was a 1971 graduate of Henry Grady High School where he was co-president of the Student Body. He was also active in the band and athletics. Tony attended the University of Georgia and remained an avid Bulldog fan. He served in the U.S. Army for over two years and was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church.
His father, Morris Taylor, preceded him in death.
Surviving are his daughter, Jillian Taylor of Eastanollee; mother, Helen Pierce Taylor of Dawsonville; aunt, Erva Pirkle; uncles and aunts, James and Jean Pierce of Dahlonega, Paul and Nancy Kitchens of Dahlonega; special caregiver, Treena Andersen; and numerous beloved cousins; various other relatives also survive.
Memorial services were held 2 p.m. Feb. 2 in the chapel of Bethel United Methodist Church with Dr. David Sanders, Rev. Eddie Herring and Rev. Emory Brackman officiating.
