Anthony Dwight James, 67, of Buford, died July 6, 2016.

Born Feb. 23, 1949, to the late Donnie and Gladys James, he moved to Buford after living in Dawson County. For many years, he owned and operated Saxon Pest Control in Buford.

Mr. James was a U.S. Air Force veteran of Vietnam.

While growing up he loved to play baseball and was an avid Atlanta Braves fan.

Survivors include his sisters and brothers-in-law, Barbara and Billy Mullinax of Forsyth County, Janet and Bill Lingerfelt of Dahlonega, Joan and J.L. Nolan of Dawsonville, Jennifer Johnson of Florida; brother, Franklin Jesse James of Dawsonville; nieces and nephews, Joy Niven, Tammy Grogan, both of Forsyth County, Donnie William Munda, Roxanne Lingerfelt, both all of Dawsonville, Rodney Lee James of Temple; various other relatives also survive.

Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. July 8 at Haw Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

Bearden Funeral Home of Dawsonville was in charge of the arrangements.
