Annie Laura "Ann" Harris, 92, of Dawsonville, died Oct. 14, 2011.

Born Feb. 5, 1919 in Hall County to the late Silas and Susie Owen, she had lived in Dawson County since 1952.

Mrs. Harris was a homemaker and possessed a love for sewing, knitting, cooking, playing music and growing flowers.

She was a member of Harmony Baptist Church.

Her husband of 69 years, Buster Harris; son, Owen Harris; six sisters; and three brothers, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her children, Morris and Judy Harris, Denver and Gale Harris, all of Dawsonville, Elaine and Winston Jenkins of Flowery Branch; sister-in-law, Grace Harris of Flowery Branch; grandchildren, Ryan Harris, Jeff Jenkins, Lissa Shirley, Lorrie Griffith; seven great-grandsons; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Oct. 17 at the Bearden Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. John Huff officiating. Interment followed in the Chattahoochee Baptist Church Cemetery.

Bearden Funeral Home of Dawsonville was in charge of the arrangements.
