Anne Davis, 82, of Dawsonville died Sept. 11, 2014.

Born March 22, 1932, to the late William H. and Ina Thompson, she was a lifelong resident of Dawson County, devoted wife and mother and member of the First Baptist Church of Dawsonville.

A retired educator, she taught for eight years in the Dawson County School System and 23 years at Forsyth County High School.

Survivors include her husband of 60 years, John Davis of Dawsonville; daughter, Pamela Anne Bragg of Dawsonville; son and daughter in law, Tim and Shirley Davis of Dawsonville; five grandchildren; four great grandchildren; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Sept. 13 at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Stephen Davis, Leonard W. Ridings and Kenneth Allison officiating. Interment followed in Sawnee View Memorial Gardens.

Bearden Funeral Home in Dawsonville was in charge of the arrangements.
