Ann Waters, 83, of Dawsonville, died March 1, 2015.

Born Sept. 21, 1931 in Hall County to the late Reid and Gertrude Long, she lived most of her life in Dawson County.

A homemaker at her death, Ann retired from Sears after many years of service.

She was a member of Juno Baptist Church.

Her husband, Elmer Waters; grandson, Stephen Waters; and brother, Lanier Long, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her children, Edwin Waters, Barbara Waters, both of Dawsonville; step-daughter and son-in-law, Virginia and Omar Orr of Jacksonville, Fla.; grandson, Derek Waters and his wife Megan; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. March 4 at Juno Baptist Church with the Revs. Tommy Weldy, Dennis Bottoms and Tim Biddy officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations were requested made to Juno Baptist Church, P.O. Box 627, Dawsonville, GA 30534.
