Anita Lorraine Ray Prichard, 50, of Dawsonville, died March 24, 2017.

A resident of Dawson County for nearly 30 years, Anita was born in Lumpkin County to James Lee and Brindia Ray on Oct. 22, 1966.

She graduated from Lumpkin County High School and pursued her nursing degree earning her LPN license.

Her love of children led her to dedicate her skills to neonatal and pediatric nursing throughout most of her career.

Anita was a devoted Christian, loving mother, compassionate wife and thoughtful friend who enjoyed spending time with family, photography and camping.

Her father, James Lee Ray; and brother, Mark Ray, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her loving husband of 20 years, Timmy Dewayne Prichard; sons, Jonah Brinson, Jacob Prichard; daughter, Rebecca and Scott Kibbey; granddaughter, Brooklyn Kibbey; mother, Brindia Ray; mother-in-law, Deborah and Ron Schoen; father-in-law, Doug and Sandy Prichard, Wayne Prichard Jr.; sister-in-law, Candace Richards; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. March 27 in the Bearden Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Lucas Ray officiating. Interment followed in the Philippi Baptist Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations were requested to help offset final expenses.

Bearden Funeral Home of Dawsonville was in charge of the arrangements.
