Alton C. Anderson, 71, of Dawsonville, died Sept. 4, 2016.

Born Nov. 22, 1944 in Lumpkin County to the late Gordon and Fannie Anderson, he lived most of his life in Dawson County. Mr. Anderson formerly worked as a brick mason and was a member of Harvest Baptist Church.

Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Scarlet and Jeff Boyle of Carrollton; sister and brother-in-law, Bessie and Jimmy Harben of Dawsonville; three grandchildren; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sept. 8 in the Bearden Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mark Biddy officiating. Interment followed in Dawsonville Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, donations were requested made to assist with final expenses.

Bearden Funeral Home of Dawsonville was in charge of the arrangements.
